Put the Placard Down: Your Astrology Forecast for September 7–13, 2026

Gate 47, a Virgo New Moon, and the week Uranus stops long enough for us to pick the thing up, right as Rosh Hashanah calls us to return.

We’ve all done this: stood in front of something that’s ours, an old belief about our business, a habit we picked up from someone else’s playbook, a story about why it’s hard, and read the little card next to it instead of touching the thing itself…like a visitor in a museum. The card is easier. It’s shorter. Somebody else already did the thinking and typed it up in a calm font.

This week asks us to put the card down.

The Sun starts the week in Gate 64, where the ideas won’t stop coming and none of them will sit still long enough to be useful yet. That’s Monday and Tuesday: too many captions, not enough clarity. Then on Wednesday, the Sun steps into Gate 47, the pressure of one specific unresolved question sitting there until we finally answer it. Not ten questions. One. The one we’ve been walking past.

That’s basically the whole week. First too many placards to read. Then just one object left in the case, waiting for us to pick it up.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7: The Card Is Still on the Wall

The curtain opens the week with the Moon curled up in a fuzzy bathrobe in Cancer, in no hurry to get dressed for anybody. She’s got a conflict right out of the gate: Venus, over in Libra, holding her scales, weighing a relationship or an agreement that isn’t balancing right, and the Moon isn’t thrilled about it. Pluto’s arguing his case from the wings too, adding weight to whatever that tug already was. Then, around 9:40 a.m. Eastern, the Moon just exits, stage left. Off the boards entirely until she reenters as Leo at 12:49 p.m.

It’s Labor Day in the US, so if that void window happens to fall on your actual day off: cheers to you, truly. That stretch from 9:40 to 1:00 isn’t the moment to send the important email or make the ask we’re hoping lands well. Wait for the Moon to walk back on stage.

The Moon represents our collective feelings, not one person’s mood in one house. Over the last week, she’s taken her rose colored glasses off. She’s seeing something differently than she saw it before, and she can’t unsee it now. What she doesn’t know yet is whether her read on it is even real, or just a new pair of glasses.

That not-knowing won’t last, though. Uranus stations retrograde on Thursday, and part of what clears is exactly this. Nothing to be afraid of in the uncertainty. It’s temporary. She’s still waiting to find out, and so are we. Just about every one of my own soul agreements right now (client contracts, vendor agreements, the deals we all make with credit card companies and landlords and each other) is going through it’s annual review period. And it’s normal. Besides, we can’t tell if something’s well or ill until it gets examined. This whole first half of September is that assessment in real time.

Before the day is out, the Moon does trine Neptune, easy and tender, no argument at all. Whatever feels a little foggy right now doesn’t need solving today. Let it stay soft a while longer.

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8: Leo Takes the Stage

The Moon in Leo steps into the spotlight now, cape on, and Leo does not read the card taped to the wall. Leo IS the exhibit. Jupiter walks over and stands right beside her, backing every word. Saturn, watching from the front row, gives an approving nod. That’s about as supported as a bold move gets all week.

This is our day to ask for the thing. Make the follow-up call. Send the note asking a past client if she’d be willing to say a few words about what changed for her. Put the work where it can be seen instead of leaving it in the drafts folder one more day. Just watch the line between being expressive and performing for an audience. The first one is Leo doing her job. The second one is Leo forgetting she doesn’t need the applause to know she’s good.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9: One Object Left in the Case

Backstage, the Sun changes costume and walks back out as Gate 47: the pressure of one honest question we haven’t let ourselves finish asking. Not confusion anymore, that was Monday and Tuesday’s role. This is specific. This is the one thing.

Early in the day, the Moon, still in her Leo cape, turns to face the South Node, an old script she’s been reading from out of habit, while the North Node, the new one, waits across the stage. It’s not a friendly scene. Something we’ve been holding onto, a version of the business, a way of showing up, a story we tell about ourselves, gets uncomfortably clear as no longer true. It might arrive in a dream. Notice it and don’t argue with it yet.

The Moon exits again at 2:58 p.m. Eastern and reenters as Virgo at 3:35, with the fixed star Regulus taking a seat right beside her, a radiant guest. She’s also squaring off with Uranus, so don’t be surprised if we’re more tired than the day warranted, or a low hum of anxiety shows up uninvited, especially if Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius runs strong in our own chart. Whatever tool calms our body down, that’s the one to reach for today.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10: Everyone Hits Their Mark at Once

This is the day. Four major entrances within hours of each other, and every one of them lands center stage.

Just after midnight, Venus changes out of Libra’s scales and walks on as Scorpio: dark red, magnetic, not here for small talk. She squares off with Chiron almost immediately, an argument with the wounded healer, then moves toward a standoff with Pluto himself. What she’s really asking (out loud this time): where have we been managing the appearance of closeness instead of building something authentic? Where in our business, our pricing, our client relationships, have we been performing intimacy instead of practicing it? We can’t fake our way into someone trusting us. Venus in Scorpio makes that impossible to ignore for the next few weeks.

Mercury enters the stage at 12:20 p.m. Eastern, trading Virgo’s clipboard for Libra’s diplomacy. Our words get more thoughtful, more relational, more interested in how something lands and not just whether it’s technically correct.

Around midday, Uranus stops mid stride, turns, and starts walking backward: he’s stationing retrograde at 5°42′ Gemini. He’s the one who barges in and rearranges the furniture without asking. Going retrograde doesn’t mean he calms down. It means the rearranging turns inward. For the next several months this isn’t about new ideas. It’s about the ones we already have, and which of them we actually believe versus which ones we just inherited from somebody louder than us and never questioned. Audit what we’re consuming. Unfollow the five accounts making us louder and less sure of ourselves at the same time.

Then, at 11:27 p.m. Eastern, the whole stage goes dark for a beat: the New Moon lands in Virgo at 18°26′, right inside Gate 47’s territory. This is the best lunation of the season for building, but it is specifically not asking us to build something new. It’s asking us to pick one system, one routine, one piece of the business running on old logic, and finally fix just that one thing. Virgo will hand us an eighteen point renovation plan if we let her. Don’t let her. One room, one thing. That’s the whole assignment.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 11: The Call to Return

The Moon stays offstage the entire day today, and today carries its own weight regardless of the sky. It’s a day of remembrance for a lot of us. Let today be light on demands. Spend it with people we love. If something from the week feels unfinished, it’s allowed to stay that way until Monday.

And at sundown tonight, Rosh Hashanah begins. The Jewish New Year opens the Ten Days of Return, the stretch between the New Year and Yom Kippur where the whole point is teshuvah: return to the Divine, return to ourselves, renew the commitment. That word, return, is not a coincidence sitting next to a week that’s been asking us to go back and pick up the object we already own instead of chasing a new one. Two traditions, two languages, the same instruction, arriving in the same beautiful week.

By evening, around 7:52 p.m. Eastern, the Moon reenters as Libra, links arms with Mercury, and finds harmony with both Pluto and Uranus, though she’s still facing off with Neptune. The dream space has been loud all week, and tonight into Saturday it gets louder still. Keep a notebook by the bed.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12: Don’t Write the New Caption Yet

The Sun, still costumed as Gate 47 at 19 degrees, finds himself at an awkward angle with Pallas Athene today, the goddess of strategy in full armor, and the two of them aren’t quite speaking the same language. Our intuition is working, we’re sensing something vivid, but the instinct to over-explain what we’re sensing before we’ve sat with it long enough is strong. Resist it.

Within about forty minutes of each other, Mercury trines Pluto (real, deep, honest) and opposes Neptune (fog, static, hard to trust). Two masks on the same stage in the same hour, comedy and tragedy, and we won’t be able to tell which one’s real. This is not the day to sign anything, finalize anything, or decide anything big. Save it for Sunday or Monday. Or better yet, save it for after September 21.

That’s not out of step with Rosh Hashanah either. Teshuvah was never about a fast decision made under pressure. It’s honest examination first, held long enough to mean something, before we renew anything. Pay attention today to whether someone’s actions match their words, especially in a chat with a business connection or a potential partnership. Words are cheap on a day like today. Action tells the truth. That’s Gate 47 talking: don’t write the caption.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 13: The Object, Finally, in Our Hands

The Moon, still in Libra, exits again at 10:27 a.m. and stays off the boards for the rest of the day, not walking back on as Scorpio until 2:44 a.m. Monday. Let today be for chores, restoration, whatever needs tidying before the week turns over. Don’t force output today.

Rosh Hashanah closes at nightfall tonight. But earlier in the evening, Mercury walks to the exact mark Uranus left on the stage floor Thursday, and that’s when the eureka arrives. Not from grinding on the problem logically. From somewhere sideways: an offhand comment, a stray thought in the shower, a random idea that turns out to be exactly right. This is the moment we stop reading the placard entirely, because we’re finally holding the object and we can feel for ourselves what it actually is. Return, renewed. Both at once.

LOOKING AHEAD

The wider astrological calendar marks a turning point around September 15th. My own two cents: the real hinge lands closer to the 21st, and we won’t feel what’s actually staying versus what’s leaving until the 25th -26th. Right now, we’re in a season of being diagnosed. Not judged. Diagnosed. Something in each of our businesses, and in each of our lives, is under examination, and by the 21st that diagnosis starts to come forward and we get to read the results.

But here’s the part I want us to all focus on: a spiritual diagnosis isn’t a life sentence. We have until the middle of December to work with whatever surfaces. The sages say that it is written (on Sept 21 this year) but the ink doesn’t dry until December 12. Acts of kindness, real charitable giving, attentive care of our bodies: none of that is unrelated to the business question. The way we do business (and all of life) IS a reflection of what is in our soul. Here, in the material plane we often buy into the delusion that the material and the spiritual are separate, but they are not. Our actions, even the small ones, are how we participate in our own growth, and the growth of the collective. The job for us for the next couple weeks is simple: Surrender to the examination, be open minded, let it happen.

And start one new habit that takes us closer to our future selves.
