Weekly Forecast for May 18-24, 2026

Sharing is caring!

The week the sky handed us a mirror… and asked if we were brave enough to look.

There is a reason this week feels like a lot.

Not just emotionally. Physically. The body knows something is happening before the mind catches up. If sleep has been strange, if vision has gone a little blurry, if the head has been heavy and the nervous system has been humming one notch higher than usual… that is not a malfunction. That is information.

The sky this week is not subtle. And it is not trying to be.

We are in the middle of something. The shake is the forecast. But so is the reveal.

The Stage is Set

Before we walk through the week day by day, let us meet the actors running this show.

Mars has been living in Aries for weeks: aggressive, fast, burning through everything with the impatience of someone who has somewhere to be. On Monday he steps into Taurus and the pace shifts. He does not stop. He just slows down enough to plant something. Mars in Taurus is not Mars at rest. He is Mars with a plan. He wants to build with his hands. He wants to know what lasts. Watch for the simmering quality of this energy though: Taurus Mars does not explode. He holds. And holds. And holds… until he doesn’t. Give him something worth building.

Venus has been in Gemini, flirting with ideas and options. On Monday evening she steps into Cancer, and she is done performing. Venus in Cancer is not interested in what looks good. She wants what feels like home. She goes where it is warm and she is not asking permission. And she and Mars sextile each other that same evening: both fresh in new signs, both reaching across the sky for each other. The divine feminine and the divine masculine, supporting each other from new ground. That is a foundation being laid.

Mercury is busy all week in Gemini: quick, clever, pulling threads that have been buried longer than we realized. He harmonizes with Neptune early in the week (dreams are delivery vehicles right now, write them down), tangles with the nodes midweek (old agreements are being renegotiated whether we signed up for that conversation or not), and trines Pluto by the end. What surfaces is not small talk.

The Sun is still in Taurus this week, anchored in Gate 8 — the Gate of Contribution. The Earth holds in Gate 14 — the Gate of Power Skills. We will come back to these two in a moment.

And then there is Uranus… already in Gemini, already rewriting the circuitry. The Sun walks into Gemini on Wednesday and within two days finds Uranus waiting. The Sun-Uranus conjunction at the first degree of Gemini on Friday is the lighting rig for the whole week. It does not knock politely. It illuminates.

The Myth Behind the Week

There is an ancient figure named Medusa who has been showing up everywhere lately, and not by accident.

The recent New Moon landed on Algol: her star. The short version of her story is this. She was not a monster. She was a woman who was harmed in the one place that was supposed to be safe, punished for surviving it, and sent to a cave at the edge of the world while the system kept running just fine without her. Her power was never taken. It was just… complicated.

Here is the part that matters most right now: when Perseus finally found her, he could not look at her directly. He had to hold up his shield and see her through the reflection. Only through the mirror. Only sideways. And what was born from that moment of finally being seen? Pegasus: the capacity to fly, which had been locked inside the wound the entire time.

The wound was always the carrier, and within it, if we learn to love ourselves honestly, is the salve that brings healing. The thing we were afraid to look at was always the thing with wings. More on that in later posts…

For those of us navigating a Chiron Return right now, or approaching one, this lands differently. Chiron is the Wounded Healer. His return, arriving around age 50, is not a crisis. It is a reclamation. The moment the sky asks: are we ready to stop managing the wound and start letting it complete? The Chiron Return does not take anything from us. It hands back what was always ours… the capacity, the gift, the wings… that were locked inside the very thing we were most afraid to look at.

This week the sky is holding up that same mirror for a short preview. What have we been too afraid to look at directly? What is waiting on the other side of finally being seen?

The Gate Above, and the Gate Beneath Our Feet

Gate 8 is the Sun gate this week. In Human Design it is the Gate of Contribution. In the Gene Keys it moves from the Shadow of Mediocrity through the Gift of Style to the Siddhi of Exquisiteness.

Gate 8 is the one who knows, quietly, what needs to be held together. Not loudly. Not with fanfare. It scouts the river before anyone else is ready to launch. It does the invisible work: the planning, the seeing ahead, the reading of what is coming before anyone else has words for it yet. Its contribution is not always recognized in real time. That is part of its design. It leads through presence, not performance.

Gate 14 holds us from below as the Earth gate. Power Skills. The resource that makes the contribution possible. Gate 14 carries the capacity to generate what is needed: not from force, but from alignment with what is truly valuable. Its Gene Keys path moves from Compromise through Competence to Bounteousness.

Together this week, Gate 8 and Gate 14 are asking one very quiet, very penetrating question.

What are we contributing our power to… and is it actually ours to carry?

Day by Day

Monday, May 18: The energy opens scattered and electric. The Moon is void in Gemini all day until nearly 10 PM Eastern: an absorption day, not an action day. Let ideas land. Let conversations breathe. Mars steps into Taurus around 6:30 PM Eastern, the pace shifts, something settles. Venus moves into Cancer that same evening. And those two find each other: a quiet sextile, two planets in new rooms, reaching across the threshold. Let Monday be the landing pad.

Tuesday, May 19: The smoother day this week. The Moon is in Cancer, aligning with Venus, harmonizing with the nodes, Mercury, Uranus, and Mars. Intuition is running high. Music is speaking: pay attention to what song finds us and when. Mercury squares the nodes and trines Pluto. What comes up is not random and it is not small. Let Tuesday be soft and honest.

Wednesday, May 20: The Moon goes void early at 9:27 AM Eastern and stays there until nearly 11 PM. It can feel feisty and collectively irritable. Do not let anyone pull us out of our peace today. Then at 8:36 PM: the Sun enters Gemini. The air shifts. Gemini season is here, and this year it is electric from the first breath because Uranus is already there, already waiting. Something opens Wednesday evening that was not open before.

Thursday, May 21: The Sun moves into Gate 20 and the Earth moves into Gate 24. Gate 20 is the Gate of the Now: the energy that cannot plan its way in, that has to be present first before anything can be decided. Gate 24 is Return: the gate that circles back through something until the understanding finally arrives from a new angle. Together: can we be here now, and let the old thing finally make sense? There may be friction early as the Moon in Leo opposes Pluto and squares Mars. Let the big feelings move through. They are not the destination.

Friday, May 22: The big moment of the week. The Sun meets Uranus at the first degree of Gemini. This is the first time these two have met since Uranus changed signs, and it will not happen again at this degree in our lifetimes. New eyes opening. New neural pathways firing. The kind of clarity that arrives while we are brushing our teeth, fully formed, not asked for. Write it down. Venus squares Neptune the same day: the old temptation to smooth things over and call it peace before it actually is peace will be strong. Let the wound say what it came to say. Venus also trines the nodes: whatever warmth we are following right now, it is not a detour. It is the path.

Saturday, May 23: The First Quarter Moon arrives in Virgo. This is the New Moon’s first action step. Something small. Something real. Whatever was cracked open this week has somewhere to land.

Sunday, May 24: The week softens into something that feels less like a question and more like a fact. Mars sextiles the nodes. The Sun sextiles Neptune. Whatever direction we have been feeling our way toward all week… we are a little more sure of it now.

The Business Invitation This Week: Harnessing Energy

Perseus could not look at Medusa directly. He had to use the mirror.

There is something worth sitting with in that for anyone building a business right now.

Can we name something out loud first?

There is a category of work that never makes it onto the to-do list. It does not get a time block or a project folder or a line item in the budget. Nobody asks about it at the end of the week. Nobody sees it happen. And yet without it, nothing else moves.

The planning that happens in the margins. The mental load of holding all the pieces at once. The invisible infrastructure of a life that actually functions: the meals, the logistics, the anticipating what everyone else will need before they know they need it. The emotional labor of keeping relationships warm while also trying to build something.

We carry this. Most of us carry a phenomenal amount of it. And then we sit down to work on our businesses and wonder why we feel depleted before we even open a browser tab.

That weight is real. And a lot of it is not actually ours.

Some of it was handed to us so gradually we never noticed we picked it up. Some of it we took on because nobody else did. Some of it arrived with a story attached: that this is just what it looks like to be a woman, a caretaker, a good person. And we believed it because the story was everywhere.

This is the leadership skill the sky is spotlighting this week: Harnessing Energy.

Not hustling energy. Not forcing energy. Harnessing it: knowing where our power is actually going, and consciously directing it toward what we are genuinely trying to build.

Gate 8 is the Gate of Contribution. Gate 14 is Power Skills. Together they are asking: what are we contributing our power to? Is it building something we actually want? Or is it maintaining weight that was never really ours to hold?

This is not about dropping everything and burning it down. It is about the mirror.

What would it look like to look at our business presence honestly and finally see the genuinely phenomenal person actually doing this work? Not the depleted version who has been carrying too much for too long. Her. The real one. The one whose power was never actually taken.

What in our messaging sounds like her? What sounds like somebody else’s story about who we are supposed to be?

The wings were always there. Locked inside the very thing we were most afraid to look at.

We do not have to keep looking sideways.
