Your Chart Already Knows How to Attract It: What Every New Entrepreneur Needs to Know First

The most overlooked step when starting a small business is understanding how you specifically attract clients — not how the person whose strategy you’re copying does it. Your Human Design chart contains two pieces of information most entrepreneurs never discover: whether you attract through specific visualization or through feeling, and which environmental conditions make your marketing actually land. Building before you know this is the main reason new businesses spend years on strategies designed for someone else’s blueprint.


I was sitting across from my friend at a little coffee shop on main street, sipping a fresh brewed iced tea, when I asked her how her short week had been so far.

It was a short week for bankers. Memorial Day just ended. I expected “fine.”

Instead she said: she had already opened five new business accounts. It was noon. On Wednesday.

Five new business accounts in three days of a week that barely counted as a week.

She said it like it was wild. I said: of course. Because I have been watching the numbers. Google searches for “how to start a small business” are up 120% in the past year, and another 20% in just the last month. A QuickBooks study from late 2025 found that 1 in 3 U.S. adults plan to start a business or side hustle in the next 12 months: a 94% jump from just one year before.

People are starting things. In record numbers. At a little coffee shop on main street on a short Wednesday, my friend and her bank are feeling every bit of it.

Here is what I want to say about that, because I do not think anyone else is saying it clearly:

Most of those businesses will be built on someone else’s blueprint.


The Mistake That Costs Two Years

It is the most logical thing in the world. You find someone who is winning. You study what they did. You try to replicate it.

The problem is not the strategy. The problem is the assumption underneath it: that what worked for them will work the same way for you.

It will not.

Because the person whose strategy you’re studying has a completely different energetic blueprint. They attract clients differently, communicate differently, and carry a different kind of authority. The conditions that make their marketing land bear no resemblance to yours.

Their strategy works because of who they are. It is not transferable like a template.

This is not a problem of effort. Spiritual entrepreneurs are among the hardest workers in any room. It is a problem of design. You are running code written for someone else’s operating system.

Your chart already has the right code. We just have to read it.


Your Chart Has a Blueprint for This

Your Human Design chart already contains the blueprint for how you attract clients, how you communicate what you do, and how you build a business that is sustainable for your actual life and your actual energy.

It is not a personality quiz. It does not change by Tuesday. And it does not require you to already know Human Design to be useful to you.

Two of the layers I look at most closely with new entrepreneurs are the Manifestation arrows and the Environments. Both are in your chart right now, whether you have ever looked at it or not.


Specific vs. Non-Specific: Why Manifesting Works for Some People and Not Others

Have you ever watched someone use a technique — vision boards, detailed visualization, The Secret — and it worked like magic for them… and you tried the exact same thing and felt absolutely nothing?

There is a reason for that. It is in your chart.

Here is what matters most before we get into the how: when we try to manifest our goals in a way that is not aligned with our chart, we do not just fail to attract them. We delay them. The goal is still coming. We keep accidentally getting in our own way.

In your Human Design chart, there are four arrows near the head. The bottom right arrow tells us how you are specifically designed to attract what you want in life: clients, opportunities, the right people, the goals you have been working toward.

If that arrow points LEFT, you are a Specific Manifestor.

Vision boards were made for you. You can close your eyes and see exactly what you want: the income number, the type of client, the kind of business you are building, the specific outcome you are working toward. The more clearly you can picture it, the more powerfully you attract it. This is how The Secret was written. The author was probably a Specific Manifestor.

The Secret does mention emotion and feeling — but almost as a footnote. Make the vision board, it said, but sometimes it works better to also use your emotions. For Non-Specific Manifestors, that footnote was the whole answer. They just did not know it yet.

If that arrow points RIGHT, you are a Non-Specific Manifestor.

And this is the one I want to spend a moment on, because Non-Specific Manifestors are the ones most likely to spend months meditating on a specific vision… feeling nothing… and assuming something is wrong with them.

Nothing is wrong. You just have different wiring.

Non-Specific Manifestors do not attract through image. They attract through feeling.

The emotional frequency of what you want: who benefits when your business is working, what it feels like in your body when a client call goes exactly right, what “aligned” actually feels like for you. That is the signal you hold.

The clients who are designed to be in your world find you through that frequency. The clearer the feeling, the cleaner the signal.


I Learned This the Personal Way

I am a Non-Specific Manifestor. And I learned this before I knew what to call it.

Years ago, I was doing a meditation practice for my personal life. I had been trying to visualize the specific person I wanted to attract. The usual approach. It felt hollow. Nothing was landing. In fact, I was attracting all of the wrong guys, not the right ones. It didn’t seem to matter that he had brown eyes, because the way they made me feel was ick.

So, I stopped trying to picture what he would look like. Instead, I dropped into the feeling: I want to feel cherished. Protected. Like I genuinely matter to someone. Just the feeling.

Twelve months later, the right person showed up. Not because I visualized him. Because I held the frequency of what it would feel like when the right person was there. On our fifth date, I remember thanking G-d and saying: that is exactly what I thought that would feel like.

I run my business the same way. I do not visualize a specific client. I sit with the feeling of what it is like when the work is connecting… when someone finally sees themselves clearly… when I get the text at 9 p.m. that says “I got my first client! Thank you!” That is the frequency I hold. And the clients who are designed to work with me find their way in.

Your chart already knows which approach is yours. We just have to check the arrow.


Your Blueprint Is Completely Unrepeatable

That is just one layer.

There are environmental conditions in your chart that determine where your marketing lands and how your energy holds up doing it. There are centers that reveal which business advice will quietly dysregulate your nervous system if you follow it. There are gates and channels that point to the specific quality of authority you carry in your field. There is a brand archetype calculated directly from your astrological chart that describes exactly how clients experience you before you say a word.

No two of these configurations are the same. Not one. Which means no two business blueprints will ever look the same either.

That is not a problem to solve. It is the whole point.

Specific Manifestors attract through detailed visualization: the clearer the picture, the stronger the pull. Non-Specific Manifestors attract through feeling: the emotional frequency of what they want, not the image of it. Trying to manifest as a Specific Manifestor when you are actually Non-Specific — or the reverse — delays the very goals you are working toward.
