The Ghost Town Rides Off: What We Release Before the Full Moon in Aquarius Asks Us To

Your Weekly Cosmic Rhythm: July 27-August 2, 2026

Welcome to the week the ghost town finally rides off.

Some of us have spent July walking through old rooms. Old songs, old versions of ourselves, people we used to be who show up in a dream or a chorus we didn’t know we still had memorized. None of it means we’re stuck: it means the energy is moving. My favorite way to help it move up and out is gratitude: thank the old room for what it gave us, then let it go.

This week the sky opens that same closet and asks if we’re ready to set a few things down. We are. Saturn turned inward yesterday, the lunar nodes just took their marks on a brand new axis, and by Wednesday a Full Moon in Aquarius makes sure we can’t pretend we didn’t notice.

Curtain up. Here’s how the week blocks out, night by night.

MONDAY, JULY 27

The Sun steps onto the stage this morning still wearing Leo’s crown, only four degrees into the role, and finds Pluto already waiting across the boards in Aquarius, arms crossed, refusing to blink first. Pluto doesn’t play to the house. He plays to whatever we’ve been avoiding, especially anything about power, control, or who gets the final word. If we’re fixed sign people (Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, Aquarius), we’ll feel the floor shake under us today.

Neptune is working the follow spot from the wings, though, softening the Sun’s edges with a trine that keeps the whole scene from tipping into melodrama. And downstage, the Moon in Capricorn and Mercury stand back to back, arguing over a line neither one wants to say first: proof we don’t have to voice every thought that crosses our mind today. Some lines are better left in the script.

TUESDAY, JULY 28

The Moon exits the stage entirely for most of the day, void from the small hours until nearly ten tonight, so today favors striking the set over building a new one. Meanwhile Venus steps out in Virgo’s tailored coat and finds herself squared off against Mars in Gemini’s restless sneakers, both talking fast, both convinced they’re right. Venus and Mars are working from the same script tonight (Mercury wrote both their parts), which is exactly why the argument can get so loud over something so small. If someone in our group chat or comments section looks like they’re hunting for a fight, we don’t have to hand them the microphone.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 29

This is the scene we’ve been building toward all week. The Sun and Jupiter share the same mark at 6 degrees of Leo this morning, standing so close together astrologers call it a Kazimi: heart to heart, practically one body taking up the whole spotlight. It’s a stunning night to say the want out loud, even while the rest of the stage still hums with static.

Then at 10:35am Eastern, the Full Moon walks on in Aquarius, planted directly opposite that Sun-Jupiter embrace. The North Node just took her mark in Aquarius for the first time, the South Node settling into Leo, and this Moon doesn’t only light up our friendships and our communities from the follow spot. She walks the length of the ghost town’s storefronts and starts pulling the old signage down herself, whether we’ve painted a new sign yet or not.

We don’t have to know what goes up in its place tonight. We just have to let her take the old one down.

THURSDAY, JULY 30

Thursday opens with the whole cast a little slower to hit their marks, the confetti from Wednesday’s scene still settling on the floorboards. The Moon in Aquarius links arms with Saturn, then with the North Node, before slipping backstage at 5:37pm Eastern and staying there the rest of the night. Nobody delivers a new line today. (Full disclosure: it’s also my birthday, so I’m following my own stage directions and making zero decisions of consequence.) If we can protect twenty quiet minutes in the wings today, we’ll feel the difference tomorrow.

FRIDAY, JULY 31

The Moon changes into Pisces’ costume at 8:14am Eastern, and the whole stage goes soft focus: gauze over the lights, a slower song underneath everything. Uranus taps her on the shoulder briefly, so a cue might shift last minute, but the scene overall is written for connection: a date, a dinner, a call with someone we’ve been missing from the wings.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 1

First of the month, new scene. Every astrologer on the internet is going to hand us a script that says tonight’s the night to declare our intentions for August, house lights up, big finish. That might be the right blocking for some of us. It’s not automatically right for all of us, and only our own strategy and authority gets to call the scene.

If setting an intention today feels like a real yes in the body, wonderful, take the stage and say it. But if it feels like reading someone else’s lines because the calendar handed us the script, we’re allowed to stay in the wings a little longer. Waiting on our own strategy and authority isn’t missing our cue. It’s the whole point of rehearsal.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 2

We close the week with the Moon in Pisces catching a brief, awkward cue from both Venus and Mars, so watch for a small blunder in delivery if we’re not paying attention to our lines. Then she exits again at 8:33am Eastern and doesn’t reappear in Aries until 4:37pm Eastern. That whole stretch backstage is built for solitude. If we spent the weekend performing for other people, Sunday is the day we perform for no one at all.

ONE PRACTICAL THING BEFORE AUGUST

If we’re building our content calendar this week because the first of the month handed us a script, let’s pause before we say the lines. Check with our own strategy and authority before we commit to anything. A calendar date is not a business strategy.
